Turkmenistan wants to become WTO observer to attract investment

Hadzhiev spoke about the desire of Turkmenistan to join the organisation as an observer. Turkmenistan’s Deputy Foreign Minister Vepa Hadzhiev attended the fifth session of an online consultative seminar on accession to the World Trade Organization (WTO), the press-service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan said on July 3. For this, according to the diplomat, a lot of preparatory work has been done in the country. Deputy Foreign Minister expects accession will help attract foreign investment and provide guarantees and transparency for investors.
